The UK’s First B Corp Certified Rum

Specialising in sourcing fine blended aged rums from around the world, which are married with pure Dartmoor water and sustainably blended at their Devon distillery, Hattiers Rum creates three stunning unique rums; Egremont Premium Reserve Rum, Eminence Blended Aged White Rum and Resolute Navy Strength Rum.
Why is protecting the planet so important to Hatttiers?
The landscape of business is changing, and in our time of sustained environmental and social crisis, no business can afford to ignore the effects of its products and operations. Hattiers’ purpose has always been bigger than making and selling fine blended rums, with a focus on using business as a force for good.
As the UK’s first B Corp certified rum, Hattiers’ uncompromising approach to quality and sustainability is something they’re extremely proud of and all decisions made are conscious ones. Plastic-free from day one and proud to have never used air sac sleeves, Hattiers Rum were early adopters of innovative packaging solutions from fellow B Corp Flexi-Hex, which is made from 100% recycled material and is 100% recyclable, biodegradable and compostable. Breakages are unheard of and their customers are happy in the knowledge that their rum will arrive safely and in beautiful packaging that doesn’t cost the earth.
Other steps they have taken to reduce their environmental impact include using renewable energy as well as only natural light in the distillery during the blending process and this year they have plans in place to move their entire fleet to hybrid or EV and generate solar energy on site with battery storage.

Why Hattiers Loves the South West Coast Path?
Fuelled by passion for life at sea, Philip Everett-Lyons, founder and CEO of Hattiers Rum jumped at the opportunity to support the South West Coast Path Association’s Trailblazer Walk. What better way to celebrate 50 years of such a brilliant charity and one which is on their doorstep.
Philip says “From day one, it has been a priority for us as a B Corp certified business to not only care about the integrity of our rum but to also support our workers and communities. You will often find the Hattiers team out collecting ocean waste along our coastline and the fact that our blending house and distillery on The Flete Estate is located in close proximity to the Mothecombe Beach stretch of the path means that the charity is linked closely to our home. We can’t wait to put our walking boots on and join the walk!”
